About Camp One Step

We are the only local organization to offer 11 free in-person camps as well as our CONNECTED digital programs, throughout the year serving pediatric cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
Our Mission
Crew At The Helm for Camp One Step is a separate and passionate group of supporters for the incredible Camp One Step by Children’s Oncology Services (COS).
COS is a leader in providing empowering, supportive, educational and fun experiences for children (5-19) who have been diagnosed with cancer. They are the only local organization to offer 11 different programs throughout the year serving children and families who live in Illinois, Wisconsin and throughout the Midwest.

- Since 1978, the organization has served more than 16,500 campers.
- Crew At The Helm for Camp One Step work as an ancillary fundraising and event arm to support specific events for the campers, with all proceeds benefitting the campers directly.
